The VICE source code calls VDC register 8 (which isn't supported), "Interlace and Skew".

Skew? Is this an undocumented feature of the unused bits 2-7 that I'm not aware of?

hydrophilic

That would be cool to find undocumented functional bits!

But I bet my 8563 that its just programmer lingo for 'interlace sync+video' since, with interlace on, the +video mode would skip 1 scan line (skew on) while, with 'interlace sync' (no +video) mode would skip 0 scan lines (skew off) -- in each case as the screen created.

Sorry if that sounds confusing, but the 'interlace sync+video' terminology of the C128 PRG is not very clear!!  Thus the emulator author created a more 'logical' name.  That's my theory since I haven't the VICE source handy to check at the moment.
