Why couldn't this be implemented on the 128 ?

It's a closed source project, and I'd imagine it might be banging a lot of hardware in the CPC ?

Not open source and the author isn't interested in other ports at the moment.

Other port candidates are the Enterprise 128 and maybe the Sam Coupe...
But I am afraid, that they all don't have huge amount of users.

But the C128 does... at least in comparison to either of those systems.

In any case currently a third port is just theory. Next year I don't
want to concentrate on any port related-stuff (this year was really
enough ;-) but only on OS improvements (like we discussed) and new
apps :-)

If we're honest about it the whole of Contiki on C64 and C128 has stalled ... however since the source is available and the 1.2.Deve-1 release compiles for the most part with no major issues for the C64 then there is nothing wrong with forking the project.

The Contiki author is concentrating more on the practical applications of the OS (embedded market) and Ye Olde computers are left to us :-)

I've had a looksie at the source of Contiki (not got the greatest comments in the world :-), and it's nicely done so that it has a HAL, for the C128 part the ctk_arch and ctk_draw would need to be finished, made a bit more difficult by cc65 not having full C128 support yet.

Could be an interesting commodore128.org project ? :-)
