Quote from: airshipWas the Midnight Assembly System available for the C128? I seem to recall it was only for the C64. Of course, you could still use it to create C128 applications.
Here's a link to a Transactor page that has a 1/2 page ad for it. Incidentally, he was operating as 'Mountain Wizardry Software' at the time.

I stand corrected! While the ad was still a "folly" (from his own mouth), it appears that he did have a 64 version. I had nothing to do with that. Maybe he was porting it to the 128 and that's why he looked me up; because I was a C-128 developer.

We're going back almost 20 years here, I'm a little fuzzy in some areas.

Just found this at http://www.baconman.nu/cbm/c128/c128_applications/mas-128.txt
That's from my website! I had completely forgotten about MAS.

I found MAS somewhere on the net when searching for an assembler for my newly aquired 128 ~5 years ago. I somehow found Matthew's email address and we exchanged a few mails. I asked him if he had a manual and he said he thought he still had it on disk somewhere. He promised to send it to me if he ever found it, but I guess he never did find it, or perhaps never got around to look for it.

He was active on Usenet and on the C-One Yahoo group until a few years ago.

You can download MAS on my C128 applications page. Lance, want to add it to the archive?

Will do.

Does anyone know what happened to this software?  It seems like MachineDr is no longer a member here.

Hey Jim,
Long time since we talked, I'm one of your registered users as well as purchased the framing for game modules for the system.  Lost contact after you moved.  I was interested in buying it back then what 20 years ago.  :-)  If notthing else would enjoy updates for my setup.  Look forward to hearing from you.

Kyllon, it looks like Jim deleted his account here, so he may not get your message...   :(

Bacon, what happened to the files you had in this directory? The directory is still there, but it's empty. Some sort of copyright issue perhaps?
Ignorance is a precious thing. Once lost, it can never be regained.

Oh well, should of known it wouldn't be that easy.
