So what are the essential applications to have for GEOS 128 2.0 ?  Whats needed for a "useful" experience ?

So far I've got :

C128 with 64K VDC
1084s RGBI
1581 - well the kit, just need a drive mechanism :-)
1571
1541-II
512K REU
MMC64 - really like to use in GEOS
Commodore mouse

Actually I've a lot more 128 stuff but that's whats connected together.
I don't know whether to sell the rest or keep it ?

The standard apps, of course, Geopaint 128 and GeoWrite 128.  You might find that several additional desk accessories are handy, too.  :)

Nice set-up.  However, I don't know if the MMC64 will work with GEOS.

Nah there is no GEOS driver for the MMC64, I might be able to write an application that can access the board and read off files from it, but a driver might be beyond me .. well take a year or three at least :-)
