This guy has no idea what he has, despite the fact that I wrote and told him the first time he had it listed. He says it's a user group publication. But what it is is an anthology of articles from the first 18 issues of Twin Cities 128. It's full of tips, tricks, reviews, and Loren Lovhaug's pontificating. Great stuff. If you don't have any issues of this great magazine, or if you are missing the early issues, this is a great book to have. I lost all my copies when the sheriff locked the doors of INFO, so I was thrilled to get a copy of this book a couple of months back. They don't come up often, and the opening price on this one is low: $1.99 + $2.13 shipping.

I scored this book a while back from another auction.

I'll see if I can convert it to PDF at work next week using one of the multifunction printers.

It's worth the price of admission just for 'Sparrow's Slick Tips'. :)

There's another one on eBay (see here) with a BIN of $20 USD. The price seems higher than they usually sell for but if someone really wants an original copy, this is their chance.

Mangelore: Have you had a chance to convert this to electronic form yet? :)
Call me Golan; my parents did.

I just scanned it to PDF today. It's too big to e-mail (20MB). Where should I upload it?

Fair question... do we have a /pub/incoming ftp location?  You could always try bittorrent, but I have never done anything like that. Seems rather complicated to me.   Something like a napster-type file sharing system would be very cool for C= software and books, etc.  Hmmmm.....

Thank you so much, Mangelore. I can't seem to say that enough lately. As for where to put the file, I use Divshare. My account is free and I've got 25+ megs in there for download so it should be enough for the PDF. I would give them a look.

No worries. I've just provided Dragos with a copy of the file for hosting.

Excellent. Dragos asked me to share the following URL with everyone:

Nice work.  Back in the day, RUN Magazine and Computes Gazette were my info sources, but this one sounds like a very well put together C128 news source. I particularly like the application software reviews.  Now to hunt down the D64 images of those pieces of software... ;)

TC128 did three things very well:

(1) Advocating for the C128. I mean, Loren and crew were FANATICS!
(2) Finding and exploiting little C128 quirks, then sharing them with readers.
(3) Writing really fine, in-depth reviews of C128 software.

When we switched to the Amiga full-time at .info, we were serious when we recommended that our hard-core 8-bit readers move over to TC128.
