1. Press 40/80 key DOWN.
2. Turn computer OFF, then ON.
3. Remove cartridge if present.

Anyone knows if it's possible to have your profile picture animated (through an animated gif)? :)

Sure can - just upload your own pic.

SmallCleverDinosaur

I did, but it didn't "animate"... :( It just showed the first picture in the animated gif. Any special demand on the gif, regarding framerate etc?

Ok, sounds like the forum is resizing your avatar - if that happens, then the animation is clobbered.

To prevent SMF from resizing an avatar (& then converting it to PNG) - it must not be larger than 65 x 65 pixels.

cheers,

Lance

hmm...  I thought maybe the system was rejecting it because it's an Amiga bouncing ball animation.  ;)

Oi! Hardly! The Amiga always was (& still is) my favourite computer ever!

That's one computer that I still haven't had the priviledge to own...  But one day...  One day...  ;)

Should I get you of the free A500's being given away at Saturday's TOGA meeting?

I love the Amiga too but having to choose one Commodore as my favourite would be difficult. I do have some amazing memories (thanks for them?) of the early Amiga days though...
Call me Golan; my parents did.

According to president Randy, he "will be bringing two Amiga 500s to give away along with 3 Amiga monitors, one external floppy drive, Four 8GB IDE hard drives, 1 IDE 52x CD Burner, etc.."
I will get there early and try and grab an A500 as soon as he puts one on the table.

Mind you mr Wiskow, this is NOT an Amiga animation!   ;)

In fact, it is from the demoprogram for the 1750 REU. So it's 100% truly genuine C128-ware. :)

Ah, because you are an Amiga newbie, I'll try and get that external floppy drive for you, too.  Certain Ami programs use multiple disks and can use multiple floppy drives.  :)  Later, you can figure out if you want to be more advanced and get a hard drive for the A500.

Ah!  Yes, I've seen that before!  It's on the 1750 Test/Demo disk.  I stand corrected.  :)

Many thanks, Robert!  :)

Once I've had time to play with it and learn it, I'll have a better idea what people are talking about at the SCCAN meetings.  ;)

That's great.  I will bring the Amiga stuff with me, if I'm able to grab them.

Great!  While you're in a giving mood...  Would you happen to have a spare 1541-II/1581 power supply?  You did still owe me a 128 power supply, but if you have one of those, I'd like to make a switch.  :)

Great!  I picked up a 1581 that doesn't have a power supply.  I've seen the things all the time on eBay in the past, but wouldn't ya know it, now that I need one, I haven't seen a single one listed over the past month that I've been keeping my eye out.

Now, just make sure you pick my ticket for that 128D at the CommVEx raffle, and you'll make me the happiest Commodore guy ever!  :D
