Great!  I picked up a 1581 that doesn't have a power supply.  I've seen the things all the time on eBay in the past, but wouldn't ya know it, now that I need one, I haven't seen a single one listed over the past month that I've been keeping my eye out.
Mr Wiskow, if Robert won't manage get you a power supply for the 1581 here's one for you on ebay: 250344390361.

Thanks for the tip on that...  I'll hold out for the one from Robert though...

I hadn't seen that one on eBay, and now I know why...  It's listed in Vintage Computing > Other, instead of Vintage Computing > Commodore, like it ought to be.  And his description says "hard to find".  I guess that goes not only for the item he's auctioning, but for his auction page, too.  ;)

:D Yeah, sometimes you wonder if people really want there auctions to be found. I searched for "Commodore 1581" in all categories and ebay globally, it's a better way to search I believe. At least as long as it is as specific as "Commodore 1581". I also found a power supply from a guy in Germany, ebay item number 350138103658 (beware - the auctiontext is in german :)). But let's hope that Robert finds you one.

By the way, that guy in Germany also has an auction on a C64 for 200 Euros (almost 300 US dollars). Dream on...

Thanks.  No problem in getting a 1581 p.s..

Amiga stuff grabbed!  The external floppy drive is a black, slim-line Roctec drive for the Amiga, and nobody wanted it, except for me.  The standard A500 was a bit tougher to get.  Another member wanted it, too, and it all came down to a coin toss.  I called heads, and I won!  The A500 seems to be in good shape, though the mouse is yellowed.  No extra RAM in the trapdoor bay.  I'll have to power it up or open it up to see if it is a 1.3 or a 2.0 machine (and thus to determine if it has Super Agnus and Super Denise chips).  Now all I have to do for you is make up some Workbench disks and some apps/games.

Also got a Super Nintendo system with 2 carts as a gift,

Good thing you called it... I probably would've called tails.  ;)

Hmm... And to think I sent three Amiga mice to a guy in Canada free of charge because I had no use for them.  Oh well...  As long as it works, yellowing really doesn't bother me.

In general, all of the added items will give you a bit more flexibility and usability while maintaining compatibility with programs of that A500/2000 era.

Sounds good to me!  If I can play the Amiga version of Battle Chess, then I'll be a happy camper.  ;)

Not necessary, Lance.  We have spare computer mice in storage (and real mice outside!).

Ahem. Moving the thread back onto topic:

What is this "reputation" metric I keep seeing? I can't find anything about it in the documentation...

It's a mod - next to a post (on the left) there's a little hear sign - allow you to comment about a post.

In earlier versions of the forum software it was possible to view all the posts written by a specific member. Is that at all possible in the current version of SMF?

Heh, I can do it with your messages.  ;)  Just go to Profile, then go to Profile Info, move to Show Posts on the drop-down menu, and then go right and click on Messages.

Thanks Robert :)

There was a little "dual arrow" icon in the top right corner that I had to click in order to "uncompress" the profile page and show the Profile Info drop-down menu :)

Does anyone now why I can't see megabits older posts? Like this one:

Does it affect all of us or just me?

Oh, that's interesting about why the messages don't show up.  The only reason that I can fathom is that Megabit manually deleted those replies.

Hey Lance, is there something wrong with the way members are displayed in the members area?

It seems like the columns are out of alignment from the MSN column and onwards to the right. It says that Roberts MSN is "C128D user" and that should be in the "Position"-column and "2006-06-05" should be in the "Date Registered"-column and so on, right?
