I just finished the expansion port extension cable tonight.

Tedious bit of soldering, eh?  <Grin>
x86?  We ain't got no x86.  We don't need no stinking x86!

Wow that tower is HUGE -- it looks like it could hold 3 or 4 motherboards :)  I especially like the Commodore sticker.  Did you make that yourself?  Anyway, nice work!

Yeah, it looks like the size of an Amiga 3000T or my A1200 Tower.

Is that 5¼" drive connected to the 128D motherboard?  Does it work?  I ask because it's not the standard 1571 drive mechanism.

I bought the case badge off some guy on eBay in Germany. Thanks for the compliments:-)

BTW the case is indeed huge, but I still had to hack away at it and modify the 128D motherboard connectors to barely make it fit.

Actually it is indeed a standard 1571 from the same 128D I got the motherboard from. The faceplate is from a PC 5.25 drive and has been highly modified to fit the 1571 drive mechanism.

@all
One point I am happy with is the power supply.

Unlike other ATX power supply modifications, mine has real 9VAC. I even built a relay board to switch the 9VAC rail on and off with the power supply, by the front power switch.

Ahh... That makes sense...  If there was a way to get a different mech to work with a 1571/1571D controller, I would have liked to know about it.
