Well... I've been a proud owner of a C=128 for about 2 months now... Went to move the machine into another room and in the process dropped the power supply.  The 'puter fired up for about 5 seconds then nada... Nothing... I've checked the fuse and it still seems to be OK.  Now I guess I'll just tear the power supply apart and hopefully somehow fix it.  Anyways... I'm hoping it's just the power supply...

What a piss off!!!

Sorry to hear about your power supply...  If you aren't able to repair it, Eslapion can build you a NEW one if you're willing to pay for it.  PM me if you need his contact info.

I had a similar problem with my old power supply.  I thought it was a bad cord.  Turns out the board inside had a minor crack.  Try removing the board (unplugged of course) and flexing it while looking for a crack to appear.  The crack might be obvious without any flexing.

Anyway, just scrape off the green coating to expose the copper of the board and bridge the gap with a very short wire and solder.  Worked for me.  Maybe that's all you need.  Good luck!

I've got a cracked power supply board in my 1902A monitor. I 'fixed' it my putting stress on it with a cable tie. :)
