And I helped!(1)  :)

(1) Obscure reference to an American 1960's Shake'n'Bake(2) TV commercial.

(2) Shake'n'Bake = prepackaged flour and spice mix boxed along with a plastic bag, in which you would 'shake' and then 'bake' fried chicken pieces.

Unfortunately a large number of posts seem to be cut & paste jobs that appear on many other forums and newsgroups to say nothing of needless follow-ups (often to one's own posts).
Call me Golan; my parents did.

What exactly are you trying to say, Golan?

Here we go again...

Airship, what Golan is talking about in his vague way is his own personal annoyance at Robert's ongoing efforts to keep the Commodore community informed about events taking place by posting news updates on many of the most frequented forums and mailing lists.  Most people I've talked to find that his efforts are a great way to stay up-to-date on what's going on.  A few people (including Golan) who frequent most of these forums and mailing list get annoyed at having to read the same posts that Robert makes over and over again.  I personally understand that most people don't have the time to read posts on every Commodore-related forum and mailing list, so Robert's method of posting on various forums and lists is the best way to "get the word out".  I also understand that once I've read one of his posts on a forum or list, it's very easy to just skip it on all the other ones.  I've used the analogy of TV commercials before on this topic...  When a company broadcasts a commercial over and over again, do you call the station to complain about it?  I'm guessing you probably don't.  More than likely, you just ignore it once you've seen it before.

Well considering I only haunt here & CSC I don't mind at all :) Besides, they also tend to stimulate conversation - many of Robert's posts have relevant replies that aren't repeated elsewhere.

cheers,

I appreciate Robert's posts, too, even though I usually run into them both here and on Lemon. But he always seems to be posting about happenings in exotic make-believe places like 'London', 'Germany', and 'Australia'.

My contribution up there, Andrew, was a feeble attempt to elicit a reaction for a 'needless follow-up (often to one's own posts).' ;)

I don't think you see Robert's posts on Lemon...  He doesn't go there.

Yeah, I suspected as much.  ;)

Anyway, I think we can all just get over this and move on...
