Well, guess what?  I'm at work now and was able to connect with no problem today.  If nothing was done to fix the problem, then it seems that things are getting switched on their own.  :)

No, we took remote remedial action & gave the server box a severe talking-to :)

Cool... Sometimes you have to let these things know who's the boss.  ;)

Too bad...  I was planning to get more work done while I'm at work.  ;)

Mine says my ISP is SBC, which it isn't.  It also says I'm using Netscape, which I'm not.  I guess the masquerading on my UNIX server is doing a good job of obfuscating my origins.
x86?  We ain't got no x86.  We don't need no stinking x86!

Similarily, if you do a "whois" on my work IP address, it'll say I'm in Alexandira, Virginia.  Which is funny, since I'm in southern California.  ;)

But I guess that's where the servers are that we're connected to the Internet through.

As for threatening to quit, that doesn't exactly work in the military.  ;)

Gee!  I can't imagine why!  Nothing like the threat of brig time (or getting your head blown off during wartime conditions) to get you to stick around.  :D
