$33.99 plus $12.00 shipping for 20 2716 EPROMs from the Czech Republic:

[ebay] 110264717619[/ebay]

Three points:
(1) They're unused authentic NOS from the 1980's and mil-spec, made for the Czech army.
(2) They're gold. (Shiny!)
(3) They say "TESLA" on them.

Now that my EPROM programmer is coming, I really want these bad, bad, bad! Wouldn't they look really cool inside your 128? These are Freakin' Solid Gold Soviet Bloc Cold War Tesla Chips!

If I buy them this week, I don't eat. Doesn't anyone want to buy them and sell half of them to me after payday? Please?

What would you use them for?

Didn't you read my post, Robert? They're GOLD and they say TESLA on them! Who CARES what they're used for? :)

But I'd probably burn some 8K carts with no cases or see-thru cases so the chips could be admired in all their Golden Tesla glory.

Maybe something with a window like this:

I'd need more of a reason if I were to buy them for you.  :)  What are some programs you would burn onto them?

           Yes, they are lovely,

There are a gazillion 8k ROMs out there for the C64, and even a couple for the C128.

I guess the real question is, 'What do you want?'

Edit: Hey, Lance, whatever happened to the old ROM library? And all the other libraries? The old links don't work.

Sorry. Never mind. I found the FTP site: ftp://landover.no-ip.com/

Wouldn't that create a problem with the EPROMs being exposed to UV light?
Call me Golan; my parents did.

Probably. But they're so shiny! I just want to look at them!

Just cut out a circular-shaped piece of a black disk notch tab that's the same size as the window to cover it up.  Problem solved.  No UV light in, and you can still admire the golden glory of the Tesla chip.  ;)

I'd say get a gold-plating kit and plate that window.  Problem solved.  No UV light in, and you can still admire the golden glory of the Tesla chip.  :)

DO NOT WANT! :(

These are still for sale, but it just sunk in that these are only 2Kx8 EPROMs. Almost useless for Commodore stuff. Too bad. They're still pretty.

Ah ha!  Good thing that sunk in before you decided to take the plunge and buy them!  ;)
