Hi,

my name is Frank and I come from germany. My first computer was a c64 back in 1983. When the C128 came out I was really interested but in the end I prefered an A1000. This was the end of my 8-bit activities. Since some month I own a C128D (my C64 is still here together with some other stuff). Now I want to enjoy what I maybe missed because of my 16-bit-trip.  :lol:

No Burger King in Australia.  If memory serves, it's called Hungry Jack's there.  Same logo and basically the same menu, but a different name.  Apparently this is due to another restaurant in Australia already having the name Burger King, so "our" Burger King had to change their name.

Yeah... As far as I know, it's called Burger King everywhere else in the world.  Those Aussies just like to be different.

Correct - there was already a business with that name registered here. I recall when the US chain tried to muscle in & force the little guy to hand over the name - created quite a kerfuffle in the press at the time and caused some anti-US corporate sentiment.

Arnold Schwarzenegger tried the same thing with his chain a few years back & failed as well.

In both cases the name was in use for many years before the US chains tried to set up here.

I'm afraid they're wrong.  The first one opened in Miami, Florida, in 1954.

     Ah, you are right.  It is no longer owned by the British (when it was sold from them back in 2002).  Of course, I was basing this on my memories of what my British friends had told me back in the late 1990's/early 2000's.

Errrr.... no - they are a gamey meat, no fat at all. You also don't fully cook them - sear 'em on both sides.

It's my favourite meat actually - whenever we BBQ we always do roo meat. Goes down a treat.

I had a look at Squire's menu and saw a number of items I wouldn't mind trying.  The only thing stopping me is the long drive from here.
