Hmm...  Makes me wonder if any Commodore computers are used in psychiatric wards...

Maybe I should ask Nancy for a copy of the program.

Learning machine language on the Commodore has almost sent me into a psychiatric ward at times...

Doing grades until 11 at night on the proprietary computer program only accessible at school... now that's crazy!  :)

I was looking for Frankenstein's monster in there but could only see electronic stuff that was current (!) technology when I was a kid.  I'd like to meet this woman!

All you'd have to do is travel to Occidental College in Los Angeles.  :)  After speaking to her, you'll notice that she speaks like a scientist, i.e., using laboratory jargon.

Heh, back in July, in an Aberdeen, Scotland horror-themed pub, there was an audio-animatronic Frankenstein's monster on a cot which rolled on a track out of the ceiling.  The monster would then sit up and speak incoherent words.  All of this was controlled by the bartender pressing switches behind the bar.

Wondering if Universal Studios knows about this pub,

How inspirational! If I ever make a secret torture chamber in my basement, I will use a Commodore device to control various implements of torture (controller for electric shock levels, heating element control, perpetual reading of holy books via SAM, database management for individuals tortured, methods, and results, etc.). What a great idea!

Could make for a good episode of one of those criminal investigation shows - victims' dumped bodies are found to have been tortured, eventually traced back to criminal's 'lab' which is equipped with vintage Commodore computers controlling everything, criminal is tracked down though hobbyist connections.

Criminal is revealed to be saehn, who turns out to be in-saehn. :)

Very nice!  It would make a nice follow-up to the graphical story, Murder by Commodore, published in Loadstar.

          Was that issue #114?

Is anyone from CSI listening?
Only if you can somehow contact CSI executive producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, and only if you have an agent.  ;)

On the local Public Broadcasting Station tonight, there was a look at historical Occidental College, but the main point of the show was that President-elect Barack Obama attended college for 2 years there (1979-1981)!  Various administrators/professors showed off "Barry" Obama's dorm room, his yearbook photo, and his poems, which were published in New Yorker magazine.  Wow, a poet President!

Way off-topic... (I wonder if Obama knows of Commodore),

The New Yorker is one of only a few mainstream magazines that actively solicit poems and pay good money for them. It's a very competitive market. If Barry Obama got published in the New Yorker, he's not only a poet, he's a GOOD poet!  O0
