Innovation Awards at the Netherlands C= Show, Dec. 20 (fwd)

On Saturday December 20th [it] is our yearly Christmas C= Show at the Trefpunt, Kerkweg 21, Maarssen, Holland from 10:00 AM till 16:00 PM..  There's a big Commodore flea market, a C= lottery with big prizes, and AmigaScene is present.

For the first time we will give away our Innovation Awards. The Vice team has won the Software Innovation 2008 Award by 21.7 percent of the votes.  Second place is for Acid64 (16.7%) and ex aequo is in third place [with] OWB Web browser and WINUAE with both 11.7 percent of the votes.

The 1541-Ultimate has won the Hardware Innovation Award 2008 by 34.2 percent of the votes, second place is for the MiniMig(32.5%), [and] third place -- HardSID4U (8.3%).

Ooo... I'd like to see a Commodore flea market.  :)

I remember going to flea markets back in the late 80s in Portland, when you could find a lot of Commodore items being sold.

Well, not a real flea market at the Netherlands C= Show.  Just a table or two with lots of C=/Ami stuff on top of it.

We had to add two extra 'free tables' at the World of Commodore. Sort of looked like a flea market and I was amazed and pleased to see that everything was taken. I put out a lot of stuff I could have eBayed but I figured that someone might get a kick out of finding something valuable just sitting there for the taking.

Time to start accumulating goodies for next year...
