Something on my list of things to do before the next inbound meteorite takes me out is to visit a TPUG meeting.  I've been reading about TPUG since the days of the PETs, but despite having been north of the border innumerable times, just never seemed to be in Toronto when TPUG was in session.  In fact, I once ran into Mr. Commodore (the late Jim Butterfield) at the Toronto airport.  He was heading to Chicago, from whence I had just arrived.  Weird timing!

There are meetings on the third Thursday of every month except for July and August. There's usually an informal (not that the meetings are formal) gathering/BBQ-type thing every summer too. You don't have to be a member to attend and there's no charge either. Might as well come by and hang out.

Golan, did you realize that for awhile INFO was the official magazine of TPUG? They originally published their own magazine, then changed to binding their newsletter into Transactor. When Transactor died, INFO took over fulfillment, including the bound-in TPUG newsletter. Of course, we didn't last too long after that. :)
