The Commodore PET/CBM II & Commodore 128 forums are now all merged into Commodore 128 Alive!.

The old PET forums will remain, however in a day or two they will be set to read only. New topics should go into the Commodore PET Alive! category on the new combined forum.

Both boards share a near identicaluser base, so this means a "one stop shop" instead of having to visit two seperate forums.

A few of the categories have been modified to reflect the combined 128/PET/CBM II slant to the forum.

Hopefully this won't upset too many people :)

Apparently those of us who used to be members of the PET Alive! forum did NOT get automatic access to this forum. I had to re-register here to take part of the new discussions. I also note that none of the old threads was moved over, just the categories recreated for new discussions to take part. Thus the old forum still needs to be available, even if in read-only mode to not lose any possibly valuable messages.

(By the way, this forum wouldn't let me register unless I chose an avatar at the same time. I suppose Britney Spears is as good as anyone else)

You can change this under the settings for your profile. Click your profile name, then choose "Forum Profile Information" under "Modify Profile". There you have the options to link to a picture, to upload a picture of your own or to choose to have no picture at all.

That's correct - a small number of members would need to re-register here, merging the userbase would've have created issues as most members of the PET board are also members here - would have been an almighty screw up :) The old PET forums are still there (set to read only), I will actually fold them in to here when I return back to Australia in mid April (I need to physically access the machine to do it).

cheers,
