One of the most rare Commodore computers is now on ebay:

I'm guessing these were uncommon in Europe ? Think they were released here in Oz before anywhere else, consequently they come up fairly regularly here.

Now 1551's are very rare here :) Still looking for one <sigh>

Yes, they are very uncommon in Europe, I think this is among the first ones I've seen on ebay.

Still keeping my eyes open for a 1551 for you Lance :)

I've seen very few PAL SX-64's.  However, NTSC SX-64's seem to be more common.  Case in point, we've been raffling off a NTSC SX-64 each year at CommVEx for the last few shows (and selling SX-64's at the Vintage Computer Festival, too).

That is quite unbelievable, raffling an sx-64 :-)  I'm coming along to the next one :-).  Robert, can you recommend anywhere I can obtain spares for the one I am restoring (other than ebay)?  I am mainly looking for cosmetic spares (keyboard latch, keyboard cable etc) rather than IC's and boards.

If you come to CommVEx, you can get into the raffle for the NTSC SX-64 we have this year.  Even if you don't come to CommVEx, you can enter the raffle long-distance.  :)

Oy, cosmetic parts?!  Those would be tough to find and only from other people parting out their SX-64's.  At the Vintage Computer Festival I've had two or three people come to our FCUG table and tell me that they would give me their SX-64s, because the SX's are not working.  However, they never do leave me the broken SX-64s.  :)
