I've created an animated gif that can be used as a wallpaper for example in Windows. It's optimized for the resolution 1280x1024 but can probably be automatically downscaled and still look OK.

Have fun :)

Nice!  However, my Star Trek screensaver takes precedence.  :)

StarTrek screensaver? For Windows? Cool :) Is it freeware?

I swear I got a C128 80-column wallpaper from this site once upon a time.

Unfortunately, at work they discovered that some of us liked having our own wallpaper, so they banned it. Now my screen displays the company mission statement. All the time. ARRRRGGGHHH!!!

Alcatel do that too - relatively easy to get around though :)

I seem to remember that, too.

You're probably thinking about this thread that I posted a year ago.  Unfortunately, I had those files on AOL Hometown, which has since closed.  I did backup all of those files before it closed, so if anyone is interested in any of those wallpapaper images, I could post them on my server.

Andrew, I'd love to see those, please post them on your server.

I have also created an animated 80-column wallpaper with blinking cursor :)

Very nice!  Now all you have to do is make a CP/m mode wallpaper.  :)

Of course :) When I completed the wallpaper for the 80 column screen I thought I had covered the C128. How could I make such a mistake? :)

Well, here they are, CP/M startup screens for both the 40 and the 80 column screens. Please note how the cursor flash rate is different in the CP/M mode, especially on the 80 column screen. I've tried to match the speed as good as possible to the original, but it's difficult to get it 100% right.

Excellent!  You are the man, Carl!  :)  Now all the start-up screen bases are covered.

No problem... I'll get them transferred to my server and post a link here when they're available.

Okay, they're now on my server, and I've fixed all the links in my original message in this thread, so have at 'em!  :)
