HI there, I was wondering if anyone on this board here,
successfully converted a PAL 64DTV to NTSC... I checked out the
PETSCI Board and the info there... And Golan was inquiring,
but  after reading the posts, I never knew if he succeeded
in converting his... :)

Mr. Moderator... :) (if i may call you that...) did you have any luck
converting your PAL version to NTSC?

:) I don't have a 32.272727 mhz crystal, but I was thinking of
the more readily available 32.768 has anyone had any luck?

Buried deep in the DTV section of the PETSCII forums, I thought several people had converted their PAL DTV to NTSC.

I was hoping someone with one had some additional info...

:) I'll keep looking and report in if I find anything... when it arrives,
I may put in a 32.768 crystal and see what happens... :)

cheers.

If you want to run the PAL DTV in color in North America, you can go the other way; instead of trying to put in a crystal to make the DTV NTSC-compatible, you can use a LCD monitor which can handle a PAL signal.  For example, the Magnavox 14-inch LCD/TV monitor (I'll have to look up the model number) does both NTSC and PAL as does the Samsung A550 32-inch LCD t.v..
