Next SCCAN meeting - Saturday, June 6, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Hi, everybody,
    The next SCCAN meeting will be on Saturday, June 6, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.. The emphasis at the meeting will be on Commodore and Amiga music!  I intend to bring some Commodore MIDI cartridges, and Joe will hook them up to his Roland MIDI keyboard and/or guitar board.  I'll also bring the Cynthcart 1.2.4 for non-MIDI music production.  We'll be listening to SID tunes from Seth Sternberger (8-Bit Weapon) and a disk of SID tunes from the Anything Commodore User Group.
    We meet at Joe's house in Castaic from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m..  It's barbecue time, and Joe will be grilling.  For a reminder of Joe's exact address, just e-mail to me.

P.S. Hollywood filmmakers, Rory and Jerold, have been following me in my Commodore activities, and they will be there at the SCCAN meeting with their video gear.

Oy!  Joe did not have any MIDI cables and had assumed I would bring MIDI cables.  Well, that was one presentation to be saved for later.

I'll also bring the Cynthcart 1.2.4 for non-MIDI music production.

Well, that was scratched in favor of making music with the Colortone keyboard and its software and the Incredible Musical Keyboard with Kawasaki software.

It's barbecue time, and Joe will be grilling.

The unusual cool and cloudy weather didn't help, but the hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, and veggie dogs were great.

Hollywood filmmakers, Rory and Jerold, have been following me in my Commodore activities, and they will be there at the SCCAN meeting with their video gear.

I am proud to say that we outlasted the filmmakers.    They stopped filming just after 5 p.m. (I think we filled up all their memory cards on the Sony EX-1 pro camcorder they were using).  They left around 7, and the last of us SCCAN members didn't leave until 9:30.

     P.S. Tim W. of SCCAN was giving away/selling C= and Amiga hardware and software.  Matt got away with 2 bare A1200s, an A1200 8-meg ram expander, and an A1080 monitor; Joe M. bought an A1200 '030 accelerator; and I came away with a SX-64 and 1571 in need of repairs.
