Hello guys,

I remember playing a pirate game involving snakes and mongeese on an old VAX cluster system at work probably late 80's/1990. I'm pretty sure looking through the code that this is the game you've posted! I can't quite believe I've actually found it!

Is there anyway that I could convert this so I could play it again in Windows vista?

I suppose one could tokenize it and run in the VICE emulator. I believe the target machine would be a 40 column PET with Basic v2, i.e. a PET/CBM 2001N or 3000 series. That is based on the comment in the beginning of the listing about it was modified for "new ROM" in June 1979, and the fact the 4032 (Basic v4) was not introduced until May 1980. It might run on newer 40 or 80 column machines too, depending on what the POKEs do.

Using VICE's great copy/paste function there is no longer need to tokenize it with an external program. VICE does that as the code is being pasted :)
