Hi!  Just found this the other day and wondering what's up.  I have an old C128 and a C128D in my basement; believe the C128 is the one set up right now.  Have old programs, but the color is off on my monitor, so many of the games don't show well and 80 column mode didn't seem up to par last time I turned the whole thing on.  Seems like people on this board are still using these old computers, wondering what the going rate is?  I am in Colorado (USA) and willing to sell one of these if worth while.  Also wondering, though this may not be the best place to ask, what are you using on these nowadays and how well does the Vice emulator work for this?

I've seen the 128D's go for anywhere from 50-275 bucks (less if the keyboard is missing).  I own two one I paid $125 for and the other $200.  If your 128D works I may be interested, PM me.

128's go for $25 to $100, I just sold one to a guy from the forums for $25, but that was as a favor, I'd expect to get 50-75 for one.

Heh, whenever we have an available one with keyboard, it goes for $30 (not including the postage that people think is too high).

Our flat 128's go for $10.  It's the postage that is the killer.

I tend to get my machines (of whatever type, even including an Apple Lisa 2/5, on one memorable occasion) for free. All it takes is being willing to wait 10 years and getting to know people who are unloading their collections. A lot of enthusiasts don't care about the money as long as "their baby" goes to a good home.

Have you contacted Ray Carlsen for a repair of your current machine?

I have and he's given me some great pointers that I'm going to check out and if that doesn't work I'll ship it to him.  The problem is I first need to find a way to make it fail 100% of the time so he can test his work.

Well, I still have the C128D available, with keyboard, no box.  Havent' found extra software I had available to go with it, but know I have 2 expansion units and the 1351 mouse.  As far as GIVING it away, I think it has a good home, but would be willing to accept a fair price for it if shipping at least was paid for up front.  Not sure I want to go as far as to put it on eBay, would rather sell it to someone here who would (apparently) use and appreciate it.  I'm pretty sure I have an extra set of CPM disks for it and might include the parallel printer cable I got for it if the price was fair enough.

PM me what you're looking for, not including actual S&H of course and maybe we can work something out...  I'm definitely fond of this particular "breed".
