I have on this PC, VICE 1.22.0.0, which does not support copy and paste to the display screen.

So I went to the VICE Homepage, but they have an older version, 1.21. (???)

I swear I remember downloading and using a version that supported copy and paste, because it was the bomb!  So I'm thinking that version must be greater than 1.22.

VICE 1.23 perhaps?  Does anybody know what is up with VICE?  I clearly remeber there being a new menu "Edit" which featured (at least) "Copy" and "Paste".

Are you sure you visited the correct page for VICE? The version of VICE has since the 19'th of december 2008 been 2.1. That's the version you can download from their homepage.

The copy/paste feature was introduced in version 2.0.

Thanks SmallCleverDinosaur!  I had an older patched version on this PC (obviously 1.22).  The new/current one is (also) on another PC.

When I downloaded from the website, I must have the saved v2.1 to a folder and then fudged up the folder/file address when I tried to run it.

I've found the correct folder for v2.1 and there is Copy and Paste :)  Unfortunately, interlace VDC mode does not work in NTSC mode.  I don't know the magic code to test PAL.

I'm glad it worked out for you :)

I have never tried Interlace mode for the VDC in either PAL or NTSC mode. What do you do to get VDC interlace mode on a real NTSC C128? Do you change any registers in the VDC or how does it work?

Yes you change registers in VDC.  However I am unsure of the code, because I get a wonky display with my VDC on a real NTSC C128.  It is so strange, I think my VDC is defective; see this thread
