Is there a diagnostics kit for the C128 similar to this one that's for the C64:

Quite a nice website, has the schematics of it all as well as a ROM dump.

Yep, it exists, but it's rare. The guy who used to have the Commodore shop here in Iowa City still has one in his collection. He won't sell - I've tried.

You can find the ROM .crt files for several different versions of the C128 test cart online. They will detect internal problems like bad RAM, etc, but you can't test any of the ports without the harness.

I wish someone would build these harnesses and sell them. :(

someone does, they are regularly on ebay, his username escapes me, but they are out there.

I have the schematic that Brain drew from my harness at C4 a few years ago as well.

See eBay sales: 310178441780 and 310178441465 - are they what you mean?

I get the impression that they aren't NOS but are newly burnt.

never said they were nos, and would not use the term reputable for alee650.

I am fine with cloning hardware, but lying  and saying it is original (which he does) makes you a tool.

I think you need a harness for them that connects the cartridge to the various ports on the machine in order to get most use out of it.  IIRC he sells the manual separately and it seems expensive for what I assume is a photocopy.
