The SMF upgrade will occur this weekend - there will be downtime of around 3 hours so if you get 404 error or a connection error, that'll be why.

Blacklord

SMF 2.0 RC2 finally installed.

Mod-free at the moment, I'll re-add the mods in tomorrow.

Blacklord

All done - I need to re-add the message notification icons (new messages, no new messages) which I'll do tonight after work.

Any issues just PM me.

Blacklord

Some permission errors would have prevented messages being posted in some areas - I've corrected all of these.

This looks great... any chance of moving to another (faster) server? This one seems kind of slow. Blacklord, I had heard that it's running from your own home connection, is that correct or is it just a slower commercial server? I like the updates, though.

looks great, but I had to shut the "RECENT PICTURES" bar down, in firefox, it stretches the screen so you have to scroll from side to side and it displays pictures incorrectly behind the visitor maps collum. other than that, it looks fine.

It's hosted by MD Web Hosting. I notice slowdowns every now & again, but not too much - how often does it occur ?

That shouldn't be happening - what version of FF are you running and under what OS ?

Attached are screenshots of FF 3.55 & IE8 that show the scroll bar correctly.

cheers,

Firefox 3.5.5 and windows XP pro (32 bit) I just have the "night flight" theme attached to it, that should make no difference though. I am wondering if it has something to do with my active scripting, as I positively hate active scripting and have rather insane levels set up to prevent it- although i did add the 128 domain in my "safe" zones
IE 8 works fine, but I never use IE 8 lol.

Mark my words, the death of the Internet will start with active scripting........

That's possible - the portal uses a fair chunk of Java to drive it.
