Hello everyone. For some time now I have been compiling all my PET and C64 TAPE software using Audacity and storing them as MP3s. This works excellent as I can store lots of tapes on an MP3 player and skip to the correct tape/track and load as if it was a real C2N cassette deck. However, I have some emulator .PRG files that I would like to backwards convert to an audio or MP3 file and use this way with the real computer. Is this possible?

Alex

Well, if you really need to use tapes try this one: http://wav-prg.sourceforge.net/. However disk storage is a lot easier and faster and 1541 drives are rather cheap. Also transferring files from PC to 1541 is easy. The best and easies option IMHO is using SD cards and additional hardware like MMC Replay for example. For single files or code that is using Kernal calls this works the best.

Go looksie here :

The VOC <-> TAP is what you might be after, though you would have to convert MP3 to VOC (or WAV) beforehand .. or adjust the source code :-)
