Woo Hoo! I just picked up a C64 with power supply and box off Craigslist Saturday! Good thing I had the guy bring it to my work, what a whack job!! He wanted $29, I asked if he was firm on it, he says $25, I say will you take $20? Sure. Its case is yellowed, but I'm going to try that "RETROBRITE" concoction and try and bring her back! Like I said, the guy was a whack job, he didn't like a $20 bill I gave him, it had a small tear in it. Oh, sorry let me give you a different one I just got from the ATM! This dude holds it up to the light to see if its real and then asks if I have a pen to check the bill!!! What a freak!
Anyhow, the C64 works, I did question its functionality in bartering the price, however I did rig up a little 5" tv with an audio cable and a paperclip, and got the boot up screen.
Funny thing is, the guy claimed he was from West Bloomfield, Michigan... which is a rather upper class area. I figured the C64 would have been in pretty damn good condition, and the owner... NORMAL!

So now I have my SX64, C128, and now the C64. I'd like to add a VIC20, a PET, and an Amiga for good measure;)

I've got several C64's - all in the garage - on the really, really rare occasions that I feel the need to slum it I drop the D into 64 mode :) Very rare though and happens less & less frequently!

That's as bad as my going to a former C= storefront, and I tried to pay in U.S. dollar coins.  Even though the coins are legal currency, the shopkeeper didn't like them or want them.  Very odd.

I work at an auto repair shop, and I'll say we take in some pretty beat up bills!

When I bought my C64 back in 1985, I believe I paid with quite a bit of coins, it was at a K-Mart, however. That was my paper route money!
