Hi @all,

my name is Christian, and I am a system administrator from Berlin, Germany. I had my first C128D in 1987 and the next years we where inseparably. But as time goes by, I got other Computers and I lent my C128 to my brother in law. A big mistake, because he sold it without telling it to me....  >:(

So, after this horrible agony it took a long time (while I was at the navy), until I got a C128 again. Now I have 2 x 128D (1 plastic and 1 DCR), 2 x 128, 3 x 1571, 1 x 1084, 1 x 1081, and some peripheral stuff like a 1750 and so on.

I have been reading here sometimes and now I made it to register  ;)

So, I am glad to be here and hello to all members.

Welcome aboard, although I'm a bit surprised to hear of a red-blooded German imbibing a Mexican drink.   ???   That would be like an Aussie drinking Labatt's.

That 128DCR you have, does it have an ASCII/DIN key on the keyboard and the German language ROMs?
x86?  We ain't got no x86.  We don't need no stinking x86!

Hey! Us Aussies drink a lot of things!  :P (Right now I'm drinking homemade baileys irish cream).

Hi to our new German friend (might be going to Germany sometime this year to my works German HQ in Erlangen)...

Welcome!  When I go to Germany, I usually hang out around the Essen area (the next time will be in 2011).  One day I will get to Berlin and Munich.

Thanks for the nice welcome.

@BigDumbDinosaur: Yes, it has the German ROM and the ASCII/DIN key.

@BloodyCactus and RobertB: If you should reach Berlin someday, I will tell you the best places for a trip to Berlin ;-)

Welcome!

Several years ago I visited Munich and other places in the south of Germany and fell in love with it.

I stayed just long enough to learn the most important phrase in German: Ein Bier! :)

You are a lonesome boy if you need the phrase "Ein Bier"  ;)
Next time in Germany you should try: "Freibier für alle". You will have a lot of friends immediately. And please, don't forget to give me a call  ;D ...

In this case, please call me too.  8)

Last time I did that I ended up broke.  I didn't realize there were that many people in the bar.  ;D

Oh, I already know that phrase - and I know enough not to shout it out in a crowded beer hall! :)
