New RAMLink arrived, PSU - how to do reduction from 1541-II PSU?

So I tried - positive was signal, GROUND was negative - works correctly!!!!

On every one I've worked with, positive goes to the smaller connector (which you can't see in your photo) and negative goes to the larger one with those "legs" to crimp over the cable.  Just solder them up and use a multimeter to make sure whichever wire is connected to the tip (the part past the black ring on the end) is what you hook up to the +6V side of the battery.
