Hihi

As part of my modding of my C128D I want to fit internally into it the action replay mk 5 leaving the cartridge slot free for an REU or w/e

Obviously since the cart forces the machine to start in 64 mode I'd need some way of switching it out

I was wondering if anyone knows how this might be done? A quick glance at the manual suggests that disconnecting GAME and EXROM might be sufficient but perhaps someone on here knows more about it...

Thanks ^^

You could always perform your own experiments. If you have a cart port expander that allows u to control all the lines (like the cmd one) you could hook up the ar5 and then switch out lines until the c128 clean boots? or if some talented programmer would put the ar5 code in eprom that could be put in the empty socket of the 128 that would be cool. Maybe stick with testing the port lines for now :)

lol, I don't but I suppose I can cover the fingers on the cartridge with selotape and try something more permanent if it works -.o

How similar are the C64 cartridges to each other anyway, would it work if I for instance added a rom switcher to the AR5 and the Simons Basic ROM? (or maybe I should just try that, unfortunately I don't have a simons basic ROM, lol, although I did at one time)

Thanks ^^
