Hey admin,

Awesome thing you are doing, but Im wondering about your domain.  Since its a no-ip.com domain, Im guessing you are hosting locally?  Speed is a little iffy at times.  Free is free, so no complaints, but if you need help getting hosted, let us know - Im sure alot of folks here know reasonable hosting plans and would even be willing to contribute to help get things going. Let us know how we can help.

Yup - true at the moment, this was a test of the waters if you will - have just got a domain name & this will be moved to that within a couple of weeks on a co-hosted machine at my ISP (went with that as the site will run on it's own box & I can offer sub-domains - which I plan on doing (at no charge)). Because I'm providing the hardware, it works out cheaper than any hosting plans and I have total control over what goes on the box - rather than being at the mercy of what the host may decide (ie database etc.).

No problem there - Hope to see this thing take off, since there really arent that many sites specifically dedicated to the 128. More and more, all you see are C64 game sites. The 128 never really got the credit it deserves, IMHO. Most 64 users went straight to Amiga or PC.

One of the reasons I decided to launch this. :)

Actually I went Exidy Sorceror > PET > Spectravideo SV318 > C64 > 128D > A1000 > C128 .....  I actually swapped my A1000 fot the 128.

All my C64's are boxed away, but the 128D (& a VIC20) are still out & used.  I was a fan of the D as soon as I saw it, beats the crap outta the 64 in many ways - starting with 9naturally) the native modes & a far, far better keyboard than the cruddy C64 one. Commodore never did get that right on the 64 - it ranks as the most uncomfortable keyboard I ever used.

That sounds similar to my setup. I have a vic20 and 128D and also a pal 128D along with various drives and 1 monitor that i split between the 3 puters. If i had more room here i would setup a monitor for each as I have lots available to me but just no room for them all. If i need a c64 for some reason, I have lots in the back and also a couple of sx64's i can pull out if need be.  Maybe we should start a thread about the setups people have?
