Ok, so Id thinking of doing some C128 development again, and Im looking at options.  As far as I know at the moment we have:

On the Commodore side:
BASIC 7.0 / BLITZ or other BASIC compiler
8502 Assembly / Various C128 ASM packages
Power C 128
geoProgrammer

On the PC / Crossdev side:
CC65
Various 6502 ASM packages

Cross development is interesting, and I havent given it much thought.  Are we at a point where we no longer need the C128 development tools?  I also remember seeing a sprite and character set designer on the PC side.  heh... yet somehow it seems like cheating...

Cheating?  I call it the only wayt to keep your sanity!  I suppose guys with SuperCPU systems don't have much to complain about when doing compiles of software, but at 2mhz, it's a real pain.

heheheh... Im with ya... One thing about coding on the 128 (or 64 even), is that you have to plan where code will be, so that you can use the development tools without conflict. Ive just reinstalled CC65, and yeah, it is much nicer. Im going to try my hand at some GEOS development.  Will post progress in the new GEOS forum.
