News Maker 128 uses the 80 column mode of the Commodore 128 to create professional looking newsletters, reports, signs and posters. It can also be used as a standalone program or in combination with other word processing and graphic packages. Standard sequential files are used for pouring text into columns. Graphics can easily & directly imported from Print Shop and News Maker's sister package Sketch PAD 128, and all BASIC 8 brush files are supported. Other options include full page layout, pull down menus, smooth screen scrolling, font selection, cut & paste, mirror and flip.

The Commodore 1750 512K RAM Expansion Unit is fully supported giving you the storage space to hold up to 45 fonts and five full pages of text.

Integrated drawing tools use the Commodore 1351 mouse to create and edit graphics easily and effortlessly. Plus a Note Pad utility for creating and editing sequential files and Sideways, a printer utility to print your pages sideways complete the News Maker 128 DTP package.

Still sold as NOS by Censtible Software, produced by Free Spirit Software. This company also produced games for the PC (CGA) & Amiga that were somewhat risqué.
