Other CBM emulators / Re: C64 Forever released
June 26, 2009, 11:33 PM
It's got to be the easies way to get into c64 emulations. install and working in 10 minutes.
With a great choice of c64 games and no hunting around pirate sites for roms.
As described it's super-comfy. but i would add super-easy.

Now if only it would play Metal Dust :) .

Can I use an internal C128D psu in a C128? (as external of course! :))

Yes. The c128d is of a higher rating as it drives the internal floppy drive as well. :)
I have seen this done by placing it into a metal box and adding a c128 lead and plug.
Remember to earth the metal case by screwing the green earth lead to the metal case as well.

Airship is 100% correct you can not use a c64 power supply, but a c128 power pack makes a great c64 power supply. as used on c64web.com as it runs 24/7 :)

This seems common, i have connected many c64 and c128 to LCD TV monitors and found the picture to be shaky and or blurry :( I have also found the best way of getting great picture quality is by using a svideo to c= lead. these can be found on eBay for around $15. eBay item hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips guys! I have another question as I got another C128DCR with fault step motor obviously. Did anyone ever tried to swap step motors between drives? Secondly is there any chance of resurrecting broken step motor?
Not really once broken their normally a throw away. :( you can replace them with another,
but you will need to realign the drive.

What country are you in, i am in Australia maybe someone has a mechanism to trade or sell. :)
