Please help me fix up my c128D

hi all,

My c128D seems to have two problems, and i was realy hoping someone could give me advice or guide me to fix them

1. The drive latch is broken.Im not sure where i can get one of these >_<. Suitable latches from 5 1/2 inch drives, and the 5 1/2 inch drives themselves are hard to find.

2. The drive wont load a disc unless i put the dummy disc ( i think this pushes the head to the back) and then type in the command to reinitialise the drive. Then, once it reaches the end of the dics, it makes a realy loud ratlle noise, then stops, then the drive LED stays flashing and nothing happens. In this case i need to hard reset and start over.

if any one could diagnose these problems, or guide me in the right direction, it wouild be grately appreciated. ^_^
