Though this upcoming weekend's AmiWest Show 2008 ( http://www.sacc.org ) is an Amiga computer show, once again I'll be sneaking Commodore into an event where it's not supposed to be.  The equipment of choice -- the VIC-20 and the C64 DTV.  Relatively portable, especially when compared with the large Amiga hardware I'm bringing.  Let's see how many Amigans recognize the C= equipment!
Also... though Bill Bosari will be web-casting AmiWest audio and video at http://ugn.amiga.org , I will provide a bit of color commentary when I report live on the #acug chat (server irc.eskimo.com).  Barring unforseen difficulties (like flaky hotel connections), join me on the #acug chat this Friday at 8 p.m. Pacific Time as the dinner finishes and the keynote speeches begin, and this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time as the show shifts into gear.

Now where is my Behr-Bonz VIC-20 Multicart?  :)

Tell that to certain Amigans who divest themselves from Commodore's 8-bit heritage.

Not as sneaky as when I got into CES a few years ago.  :-)

Back from the AmiWest Show!  I met my good friends there and bought more Commodore and Amiga stuff.  Yes, Commodore stuff.  A C64 CPM complete package was just a $1.  I couldn't pass it up, though C64 CPM is virtually unusable.
A few people noticed the VIC-20 sitting on top of the AmigaOne case and one even took a picture of it.  Another noticed the C64 DTV, and we both agreed that an Amiga DTV would have been good.
President Brian Deneen of SACC estimated attendance to be 55 to 60, better than last year.

                 Must get some sleep before
                 tomorrow's FCUG meeting,
