Infoworld's "True Believers: The Biggest Cults in Tech"

Infoworld has a nice article titled True Believers: The Biggest Cults in Tech. It lists "Commodorians" as #4.

Jim Brain is interviewed. It's amazing to me that they found the guy who is probably the best person to serve as a spokesperson for the Commodore Cult. Usually these articles seem to dredge up somebody who has no idea what they're talking about.

Another (anonymous) interviewee says Commodore Amiga fans are "annoyingly crazy".

Also listed: Palm, Ruby, Ubuntu, Lisp, IBM midrange systems, and the Newton.

     Though there was no real depth to the article, there was some good info.  I've never heard of the rap band, Commodore 64, nor have I heard of ShellTown from Saugus.net    And it was good that the writer included CommVEx, C4, and World of Commodore in the list of "gathering of the tribes", though he left out ECCC and the European events, like the bi-monthly Netherlands Commodore Show.

Yet many Commodorians reject the notion of being part of a cult...

I totally agree with that statement.
