I have recently bought a German C128. It has eproms in U35 and U18.

U35 = 315078-03
U18 = 315079-01A charrom

In order for me to restore this back to the "standard" version, I assume I would need to replace both eproms with the appropriate replacement?

So:

U35 should be kernal.318020-03.bin and
U18 should be characters.390059-01.bin

Is this correct? What about the CAPS LOCK - ASCII/DIN switch? Anything needing changed there?

megabit

The latest version for U35 is 318020-05.

One of our club's NTSC C128 has a 318020-03 in U35 and a 390059-01 in U35.  It has not been modded, other than the addition of the Megabit 128 ROM adapter.  As for the Caps Lock/ASCII-DIN switch, I have no information on that.

If by "standard" he means NTSC, then the VIC has to be replaced as well, as the scan rate is mask fixed.
x86?  We ain't got no x86.  We don't need no stinking x86!

No I don't mean that standard. It is PAL as I want it, I just wanted it back to an "English" 128 (keyboard and char set).
